We are being watched!

 ABC Action News

ABC Action News

Official Statement to ABC Action News and Telemundo

Pornography is a big issue in our society and our Conquer Group is addressing it. Through teaching, support, accountability and faith, we see guys set free. We would encourage any man who is struggling in this area to contact us. There’s help and there’s hope.

We thank these parents for their concern for their kids. We are concerned too. Shockingly, researchers are saying that the average age that kids are being exposed to porn is now 11. Some even say the average is actually more like 8. If a parent feels the need to talk to their child about pornography, here is a great resource to help them with that conversation - CLICK HERE.

I would like to think that our group is a real ally to these concerned parents and their families. We have seen marriages restored, fathers reengaged with their kids and young men walking in integrity. The road signs are meant to be clear. We hope we can continue to display them to clearly get the word out that people can break free of porn.

If we are being watched, how should we live? Live a Questionable Life!

2 Samuel 6:12-16

Now King David was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. When those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.

As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart.

2 Samuel 6:20-23

When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!”

David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”

And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

How to Live a Questionable Life?

  • Live for an audience of ONE knowing everyone is watching

What does AO1 mean to us? It means that we are playing for an Audience of One. When the lights go on and all eyes are fixed on us, our eyes are fixed on Him: Jesus, the creator of the universe. It’s not just a slogan, it’s a lifestyle. Living for Him, playing for Him, and giving Him all the glory. Win, lose, or draw—I play for an Audience of One. What about you?”
 Before God (before everyone)

Before God (before everyone)

When you don’t care about what others think of you - because only ONE opinion matters - you can really care for others.
  • Don’t divide life up between the sacred and secular (like worship and work)

Colossians 3:22-23

Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for others.

  • Pray your way through your day
