Pursuit (7) - Questions

1 TIMOTHY 6-11.THE PURSUIT-1.001.png

Read …

Mark 1:32-39

That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

Why did Jesus pray? Do you ever feel like you’re just too busy to pray? Why is the actual truth we’re just too busy NOT to pray?

What does Proverbs 3:5-6 say about the importance of depending on God through prayer?

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

React to this quote …

Because God is infinite He can be infinitely intimate with each person at the same time.

Is this a new thought for you? Why is this an important thought as you approach God in prayer?

Does a checklist mentality work with growing closer to Jesus? Does it help you become more like Jesus?
