Say YES (1) - Questions

Do you like crowds or do you prefer to be alone? Some people don’t like crowds, but they will tolerate them for certain situations like concerts or sporting events. When do you like to be in a crowd or when can you tolerate it?

This sermon series is on Saying YES to the Holy Spirit? Do you have a story from this past week when you said Yes to the Spirit? What happened?

Matthew 9:35-38

Then Jesus went throughout all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and sickness.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were bewildered and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

Matthew 10:1, 7-8

Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits so they could cast them out and heal every kind of disease and sickness.

As you go, preach this message: “The kingdom of heaven is near!” Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
