Creating a Kingdom Culture

Mission/Vision

Mission

We are a people of the kingdom of God who point others to Jesus, disciple and equip the saints, are empowered and in lock-step with the Holy Spirit to further His kingdom.

Vision

God has a plan for us, and we must be fully committed to follow that plan.

Spirit Filled Worship

The goal of worship is to shower our love upon God. Our worship is contemporary, and it is God-ward. It is not a performance. In fact, it isn’t about the music alone. Our goal in worship is to express our love to God and to achieve intimacy with Him. While this can happen many ways, we use music in our service to create an atmosphere conducive to the presence of God, and for everyone to experience His presence.

Spirit-led Preaching

Our preaching and teaching should be practical and relevant to our daily lives. When we preach, we want God to speak through us to His people. Our preaching should lead all of us to become committed followers of Christ who make disciples. Our preaching should teach us how to become more aware of the move of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Preaching and teaching will be shared by the leadership team. Sometimes, the teaching will be a hands-on event where we put into practice what we teach.

Praying for Each Other

We want to invite the Holy Spirit into every aspect of our service so that we can provide a safe place to grow spiritually and without judgment. A prayer time after the sermon is key to hearing from God and growing in the use of our gifts in His power. To this end, we will train people to pray so they are equipped and can use their gifts to pray for each other’s needs. Tampa Bay Vineyard will be a place where everyone has a role to play as they use their gifts to serve the body of Christ.

Family in Community

We were specifically designed by God to be in community with one another. To facilitate this reality, we have a time during the service where we greet each other and where our guests can be welcomed by the congregation. We will also have events outside of Sunday service where people can interact with each other and experience community. We encourage individuals to connect, as community is more relational (or relationship-based) than program-led. We don’t desire anyone to be alone, everyone has a place in the family. We want to connect with everyone, regardless of how they come. If they are celebrating, we will celebrate with them; if they are hurting, we will comfort them. As a family, we endeavor to develop relationships and take care of each other.

Kingdom Culture

We want to be, not just multi-ethnic, but multi-cultural. In a world where racial tensions are high, Tampa Bay Vineyard will reflect the full body of Christ as a witness to our community. This means we will adapt our worship to be reflective of our mix of cultures. It also means our leadership will be reflective of our mix. The aim is to establish a kingdom culture where every part of the body is valued. We are already a multi-ethnic congregation. We want to be a place where there are no racial, generational, and socio-economic boundaries, so that all can grow in the love of Christ.
