In 1989, as a father of our one year old son, I was struck by the sacrifice of our Lord giving His Son for my salvation. My wife (at that point a new believer), and the women in her Bible Study had diligently prayed for me and after several months at our new Bible believing church, I received Christ as my Lord and Savior.

During the following years, my faith was firmed up and my understanding of Scripture grew in weekly Sunday school, home fellowship groups and the one-on-one mentoring by the senior pastor that I considered a privilege.  For more than 15 years, my wife and I served on the Mission Board of our church and we had the opportunity to host missionaries from around the world in our home.  We heard many personal testimonies of how the Lord builds His Kingdom globally.

More and more, my wife and I learned to look to our Lord for key decisions for our family. For more than 30 years, I have experienced that our Lord indeed guides our decisions, if we seek Him. My wife and I often arrive independently at the same decision which we believe is a confirmation from the Lord. Every season of life continues to provide opportunities to serve and grow in God’s Kingdom.
